How these Denver Broncos together with the 'play-dough' QB could halt that Chiefs' reign.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage features live text of the weekend matchups on various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
It's week six of the football calendar , following last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.
Striking in those games was the number of penalties both conceded. The Eagles did so in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves after leading 17-3 going into the final quarter against Denver, set to play overseas this Sunday.
But it proved positive to see how Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome the shortfall and then lead three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, securing the victory by four points.
Denver have the defensive player of the year in CB their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos prevailed in that battle.
They had effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always rushing more than four defenders but they could position two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.
At the start in the campaign, we said on a program that Denver might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They finished last season well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this year's dark horses?
Recently acquired TE Evan Engram has excelled big and recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He's currently 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).
I love how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.
This demonstrates how the Broncos are a team aiming to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in positive situations.
This has benefited QB Bo Nix, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to pass anywhere, but they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He boasts exceptional arm talent, which is different, and he's highly agile.
His assets include his mobility, being able to pass while moving, as well as using different arm angles to make throws as he moves outside protection, on rollouts. He is able to throw precision throws across the middle or over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great poise in the pocket and is not bothered by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.
When you constantly run the ball it eats up time and forces the defence to be in play for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to cover the area vertically side to side. It can be exhausting.
Nix has bitten back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. He can truly build something up how he desires to shape him. I believe it's a special experience for him.
The head coach has won a Super Bowl and now surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are having offensively is mostly due to his guidance, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix helps make him into who he is.
There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet are they strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Since that wasn't championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.
Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to hold the AFC West. All they need is is maintain this trajectory.
They excel at embracing their forte, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.
New York have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they are the sole squad without a win any game.
Since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.
The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City are off to a poor start following a recent loss by the Jaguars.
After the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate up to their bye (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.
Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the West.
This hinges upon what version Kansas City shows up they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
